I’m an early riser – I wake up at 4:45 a.m. every day and I used to write health articles for newspapers and magazines.

Why I decided on the dental field?
I chose dentistry because this profession gives me the opportunity to combine my creative skills with providing healthcare to the community. I can provide emergency care to my patients while still maintaining a healthy work-life balance.

Other than work, I like running, strength training, meditation, dancing, and going on hikes and road trips.

Why did you decide on a dental field?
My passion for dentistry began much earlier. As an orthodontic patient in high school, I was inspired by my dentist and developed a strong interest in oral health, which led me to become a dental hygienist.

I love trying new experiences and stepping outside my comfort zone. I have a dog named Bruno, who keeps life interesting every day. I enjoy learning new skills and am always looking for ways to grow, both personally and professionally.

Why did you decide on a Dental Field?
I discovered dentistry by chance after landing a job at the University of Alberta School of Dentistry, and nearly 15 years later, I still love being part of the field.
Hobbies and Interests: I love travelling, cooking authentic recipes from around the world, spending time with my husband, our three kids, and our hamster, Mooshoo, and exploring local parks and festivals whenever we can.

I used to be a powerlifter – it was a fun hobby and I was pretty good at it.

I don’t have just one favourite food – if it’s something too complicated for me to cook myself, chances are I’ll love it!
